Audrey Zahares

Audrey knows style! Audrey Zahares, owner and president of Azalea Events, brings over 30 years of experience in food presentation, event coordination, catering, and customer service to the banquet table. After creating a successful marketing business in Boston, Audrey sold her company to pursue her true passions: food and entertaining. She opened a catering business, the Kennebunk Company, and was able to parlay that into her restaurant, Le Pli Café, in Harvard Square, Cambridge, where she provided food services to Harvard University. She sold the restaurant and returned to her home-state of Maine where she managed the family business, Fresh Food Markets. At that time she also opened a floral boutique, and continued catering. During her career, Audrey has planned events for as many as 7,000 guests. The success of her events stems from her eye for style, her feel for elegance, her consideration of the client, and her sound relationships with local vendors as well as vendors around the country. In addition to her intimate knowledge of the Northeast, Audrey has travelled extensively around the world, bringing global inspiration to her events from the many countries and cultures she has been able to experience. Audrey is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Marketing and an Associates Degree in Fashion.


Leslie Jensen

Leslie comes to Azalea Events from Rafanelli Events in Boston where she was a Production Manager for high profile weddings and events from The Hamptons, Istanbul to Boston.  She has a vast range of experience with all levels of events including weddings, social, corporate and non-profit.  

Leslie thrives when working in a fast paced environment and her “bring it on” attitude, is an asset to both vendors and clients alike.  From the large details to the small fine points, Leslie is admired for both her focus and due diligence while bringing client’s dreams to reality. Leslie received a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of New Hampshire and a Special Events (CMP) degree from San Diego State University.  Leslie’s passion for events and travel has brought her all over the world with destinations including Australia, Fiji, Bali, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Istanbul, Amsterdam, and Paris. With her 3 year old Maltipoo, Winnie by her side, there is nothing Leslie is not willing to tackle.


Catie Thibodeau 

Catie's genuine and enthusiastic personality will win you over from the start. Her organizational skills will put you at ease and her work ethic, passion, and attention to detail, make her invaluable to each event she works on. Catie strives in her creativity, and determination. You will always find her with a checklist in hand, a smile on her face and an eye on every detail.
